Petitioners-Sr. Ct. Subash Chander and 41 others, have jointly

filed the present petition inter alia with a prayer for issuance of a writ in the

nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the amount of CPF

contribution made by the petitioners along with interest.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners

had made a request to the respondents to release the amount of CPF

contribution made by them and release the same along with interest. He

further submits that the said claim is further supported by the judgments

dated 30.01.2020 and 06.02.2020 (Annexures P-4 & P-5 respectively). He

then submits that for the same/similar grievance, the petitioners have served

a legal notice dated 31.05.2021 (Annexure P-6), but till date no decision has

been taken.

Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Ayush Sarna, Assistant AG,

Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Without commenting upon merits of the case, this Court deems it

appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the

Authority concerned/respondent No.2, to decide the legal notice (Annexure P-

6) in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a

period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
