03. 1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.
2. This matter is not the assignment of this Bench.
However, due to non-availability of the regular Bench, this
matter is taken up on being mentioned by the Petitioner.
3. This application has been filed for grant of interim bail
to the Petitioner.
4. Heard.
5. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the
Petitioner has been in custody in connection with EOW,
Bhubaneswar P.S. Case No.17 of 2025 corresponding to
C.T. Case No.20 of 2025 pending before the Court of Signature Not Verified learned Presiding Officer, Designated Court under the Digitally Signed Signed by: AYASKANTA JENA Designation: Personal Assistant Reason: Authentication OPID Act, Cuttack.

6. Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that since the
wife of the Petitioner is in advance stage of pregnancy and
has been admitted in the Padhi Health Care & Research
Centre, Bhadrak today morning, the Petitioner may be
enlarged on bail for taking care of his pregnant wife. He
also contends that the wife of the Petitioner has been
suffering from serious pregnancy issues. He, accordingly,
prays for permitting the Petitioner to be enlarged on
interim bail.
7. At this juncture, learned counsel for the State submits
that since the Petitioner has been in custody based on an
allegation of multi cores financial irregularities, he should
not be enlarged on bail. He, accordingly, prays for
dismissal of this I.A.
8. Considering the submissions made on behalf of both the
parties and since the wife of the Petitioner has been
admitted in the hospital due to severe complicacy in the
pregnancy, this Court is of the view that the Petitioner
should be released on interim bail to take care of his
pregnant wife. This Court, accordingly, directs that the
Petitioner shall be released on interim bail for a period of
three weeks reckoning from the date of his actual release
by the learned Court in seisin over the matter in the above Signature Not Verified noted cases on such terms and conditions as deemed just Digitally Signed Signed by: AYASKANTA JENA Designation: Personal Assistant Reason: Authentication and proper by the learned court in seisin over the matter Location: High Court of Orissa Date: 30-Jan-2026 17:49:02
with further conditions that the Petitioner shall not
indulge himself in any criminal activity during the period
of interim bail; and shall positively surrender before the
learned court in seisin over the matter as would be so
directed by the said Court on expiry of the period of
interim bail. The Petitioner is also directed to appear
before the I.I.C of the Puruna Bazar Police Station,
Bhadrak in every alternative day between 9.00 A.M. to
11.00 A.M. during the period of interim bail.
9. This I.A. is accordingly disposed of.
10. Issue urgent certified copy of this order as per rules in
course of the day.
