On the last occasion, this Court was apprised that hearing in Appeal against the judgment dated 20.11.2024 passed in W.P.(C) No.2265 of 2023 was concluded and the matter was kept reserved for pronouncement of judgment/order.

Sri Srinivas Mohanty, learned counsel along with Ms. Kabita Patra, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner furnished a photocopy of the judgment dated 20.03.2026 passed in Writ Appeal No.589 of 2025 delivered by the Division Bench. 2.1. It is submitted that Writ Appeal preferred by the State has been dismissed by the Division Bench. It is further submitted that even after judgment dismissing the Writ Appeal on 20.03.2026 being pronounced in open Court, the Contemnor, the Superintendent of Police, Kandhamal, has not complied with the directions contained in judgment dated 20.11.2024 passed in W.P.(C) No.2265 of 2023 till date.

3. Issue notice to the Opposite party/Contemnor by speed post with A.D., requisites for which shall be filed within three working days. In the event of furnishing such requisites within the period stipulated, Office shall send the notice to the said Opposite party/Contemnor by fixing a short returnable date.

4. Sri Kailash Chandra Kar, learned Government Advocate appeared and is supplied with copy of the judgment dated 20.03.2026 passed in Writ Appeal No.589 of 2025. He undertakes to obtain instruction with regard to compliance of the judgment dated 20.11.2024 passed in W.P.(C) No.2265 of 2023, as affirmed in writ appeal, on the next date of listing.

5. List this matter on 01.05.2026.
