08. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. Learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioners submits on an identical issue, the State had approached the Supreme Court, and a number of SLPs at the instance of State have been dismissed, confirming the judgments passed by this Court. It is further submitted that the case of the present writ petitioner is squarely covered by the earlier judgments of this Court, as confirmed by the Supreme Court.

3. Learned Counsel for the State submits the issue involved in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the Judgment of Division Bench in Writ Appeal No.777 of 2021 and Batch of cases (State of Odisha and Another Vrs. Patitapaban Dutta dash and Others), which were confirmed by the Supreme Court. It is further submitted that SLP No.17482 of 2023 & Batch were preferred against the said common Judgment, and as per the instruction

received, all the SLPs have been dismissed on 12.11.2025

4. Learned Counsel for the State prays for an adjournment to take instructions in the said regard.

5. The matter be listed in the week commencing from 26th January, 2026.
