04. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical) Mode.
2. Heard learned counsel appearing for the Parties.
3. In course of hearing, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner contended that since his earlier claim to get the benefit of regularization was rejected on the ground of having not completed ten years of engagement on daily wages basis in the light of the judgment in the case of Secretary, State of Karnataka-vrs-Uma Devi(3) others, reported in 2006 SCC 1, he may be permitted to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to make a fresh claim to get the // 2 //
benefit of regularization as in the meantime he has already completed more than ten years of engagement.
4. With the aforesaid liberty, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
