CORAM:
THE CHIEF JUSTICE
JUSTICE G. SATAPATHY
ORDER
Order No. 21.06.2023
02. 1. There is an extraordinary delay of 124 days in preferring the petition seeking leave to appeal against the judgment dated 8th March, 2010 passed by the Sessions Judge, Dhenkanal in C.T./Ss. Case No. 69 of 2008 arising out of G.R. Case No. 776 of 2007 corresponding to Sadar P.S. Case No. 288 of 2007 acquitting the Respondents of the offences under Sections 498-A/302/304-B read with Section 34 IPC and under Section 4 of the D.P. Act. Having examined the application for condonation of delay, the Court finds the reasons giving therein are wholly unsatisfactory and do not meet the requirements as spelt out by the Supreme Court of India in Chief Post Master General v. Living Media India Ltd. (2012) 3 SCC 563 and The State of Madhya Pradesh v. Bherulal (2020) 10 SCC.
2. Consequently, the application for condonation of delay is dismissed. As a result, the criminal leave petition is dismissed.
