02   20.01.2021            The     matter     is   taken   up    through    video
                  conferencing mode.
                           Heard Mr. P.K. Mohanty, learned counsel for
                  the petitioners.
                           The petitioners have filed this writ petition
                  challenging the award dated 05.12.2019 in Annexure-1
                  passed by the Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS), Keonjhar in
                  P.L.A. Case No.3 of 2019 by which the petitioners have
                  been directed to pay a sum of Rs.4,62,060/- (four lakhs
                  sixty two thousand sixty) only to the opposite party
                  within a period of two months, failing which the
                  opposite party may realize the claim through process of
                  the Court.
                           Mr. P.K. Mohanty, learned counsel for the
                  petitioners contended that while passing the award
                  dated 05.12.2019 in P.L.A. Case No.3 of 2019, the
                  Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS), Keonjhar has not taken
                  into   consideration      the    provisions   contained   under
                  Section 22-C (3) to (7) of the Legal Services Authorities
                  Act, 1987 and the judgment of the apex Court in
                  United India Insurance Company Ltd. v. Ajay
                  Sinha, (2008) 7 SCC 454.
                           In the opinion of this Court, the matter requires
                  consideration.
                           Issue notice to the opposite party both in main
                  case as well as Interlocutory Application.
                Requisites for issuance of notice to the sole
       opposite party by speed post shall be filed within three
       days. Office shall send notice to the said opposite party
       fixing a short returnable date.
