Surendra Bhumia vs State Of Odisha on 26 February, 2021
                    CORAM : HON'BLE SHRI JUSTICE S.PUJAHARI

                                      BLAPL No.1516 of 2020

                           Surendra Bhumia ... Petitioner
                                          - Versus -
State of Odisha ... Opp. Parties
                                               ORDER

04. 26.02.2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner being in custody in C.T. Case No.47 of 2014, arising out of Nabarangpur P.S. Case No.343 of 2013, pending in the court of the Addl. District Judge, Nabarangpur, has filed this petition for his release on bail. The offence alleged against him is punishable under Sections 376(2)(i)(n) of the I.P.C. read with Section 6 of the POCSO Act.

A report has been received from the trial court indicating the fact that the evidence of the Investigating Officer has already been recorded and final argument on the side of the prosecution as well as of defence have already been heard and the case is posted today for judgment. Hence, I am not inclined to entertain the prayer for bail.

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of being dismissed.
