This I.A. has been filed for releasing the petitioner on bail during pendency of this Criminal Revision.

The petitioner has been convicted for commission of offences under 147/148/341/324/354 of IPC by the learned Assistant Sessions Judge // 2 //

(Special Track Court), Jeypore in Criminal Trial No. 100 of 2014 by judgment dated 04.10.2016 and sentenced to undergo S.I. for one year for commission of offence under Section 147 IPC and sentenced to undergo S.I. for two years for commission of offence under Section 148 of IPC, sentenced to undergo S.I. for one month for commission of offence under Section 341 of IPC, sentenced to undergo S.I. for two years and to pay a fine of Rs.5000/-, in default of payment of fine to undergo S.I. for 6 months for commission of offence under Section 324 of IPC, sentenced to undergo S.I. for three year, to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to undergo S.I. for 6 months for commission of offence under Section 354 of IPC with a direction for the sentences to run concurrently. This conviction and sentence have been confirmed by the Learned Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Jeypore in Criminal Appeal No. 40 of 2016 in respect of the offence under Section 324 of IPC only and the petitioner has been acquitted from the other offence.

Considering the sentence imposed and the fact that if the petitioner was on bail during trial and pending of the appeal, it is directed that the petitioner-Laita Disari surrenders before the learned trial court within a period of four weeks, he shall be released on bail on such terms and conditions as deemed fit and proper by the said court during pendency of the Criminal Revision.

The I.A. is disposed of.
