Mr. A. Mohendro, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner in WP(C) No. 374 of 2016 submitted that the issue raised in the present writ petition is squarely covered by the Judgment and Order dated 24-11-2022 passed by the High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh in the case of Union of India & Ors Vs. Som Dutt in IPA-349/2018(O & M) and that the present writ petition can be disposed of in terms of the said judgment and order.

Mr. Armananda, learned counsel representing Mr. Kh. Samarjit, learned DSGI appearing for the respondents seeks sometime to examine and verify the submission made by the counsel appearing for the petitioner.

As prayed for, list these cases again on 12 th April, 2023.
