ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent
Nos.3 and 8 not to disturb the petitioners' Cable TV Business, and to call
for the open tender, for DSD Appointment in Theni District, as per the
Division Bench judgment made in WP(MD).Nos.20216 of 2015 and
15347 of 2016 dated 25.11.2016, on the basis of petitioners'
representation dated 12.05.2023.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned
counsel appearing for the eighth respondent would submit insofar as the
first portion of the prayer is concerned, licenses were issued to the
petitioners in the following manner.

4. As far as the second portion of the prayer is concerned, the
prayer has become infructuous since by virtue of the open tender process,
DSD appointments have already been made in Theni District. The above
submission is recorded.
5. In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed
in this Writ Petition and the same is closed. No costs. Consequently, the
connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
