W.P.No.32478 of 2024 (batch) and direct the respondents to absorb the

ORDER
This petition has been filed to clarify the Common order dated
19.11.2025, passed by this Court in W.P.No.32478 of 2016 Batch etc., thereby
directed the Registrar, Anna University to engage the petitioners as Assistant
Professors and treat them as temporary Assistant Professors with effect from
the date on which their services expired in their respective posts until the
regular recruitment is completed and vacant posts are filled up.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused
the materials placed before this Court.
3. On perusal of the records, it is revealed that this Court by an
order dated 19.11.2025 directed the Registrar, Anna University to engage the
petitioners as Assistant Professors and treat them as temporary Assistant

Professors with effect from the date on which their services expired in their
respective posts until the regular recruitment is completed and vacant posts
are filled up. Further directed that at the time of filling up all the respective
posts on a regular basis, the directions issued in the batch of Writ Petition in
W.P.(MD)No.24819 of 2018 in paragraph No.49 shall be followed
scrupulously. The respondents are also directed to pay monthly gross salary
to the petitioner from the date of their service as Assistant Professor.
4. Now the petitioners filed this present petition to clarify the
above order and to direct the respondents to absorb the petitioners as regular
Assistant Professors as per the direction of the Hon’ble Division Bench in
W.A.898 of 2021 and Hon’ble Supreme Court in S.L.P.No.17339 – 17343 of
2025. This Court finds no ground to clarify the above order and this petition
is liable to be dismissed.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Miscellaneous Petition stands dismissed.
