JUDGMENT
(Dated this the 4th day of June 2024)
The petitioner, who was an employee of respondent
Company, Regional Agro Industrial Development Co-
operative of Kerala Ltd (RAIDCO), resigned on 11.2.2023.
2. Ext.P2, request dated 20.7.2023 was submitted to the
2nd respondent requesting to disburse all his terminal benefits
including gratuity amount, welfare fund, retirement
contribution, leave surrender, Provident fund, DA arrears etc.
As there was no response from the respondents, the petitioner
again submitted a request to the 3rd respondent, vide Ext.P3
dated 1.2.2024, for the disbursement of the terminal benefits.
On receipt of the requests the respondents sent show cause
notices for the proposed liability, against which the petitioner
replied on 15.3.2024, 16.3.2024 and 22.3.2024. The
petitioner was relieved from the liability by the respondents,
but no action was taken to disburse the terminal benefits to
the petitioner.
3. It is submitted that the petitioner is facing huge
financial difficulty and therefore, he seeks a direction to the
respondents to dispose of Ext.P3 within a stipulated time
frame.
In the facts and circumstances of the case and
considering the limited nature of prayer of the petitioner, the
3rd respondent is directed to consider Ext.P3 within a period
of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this
judgment.
The Writ Petition is disposed of.
