                                      JUDGMENT

(Dated: 9th February, 2024)

The petitioner joined service with the District Judiciary as

Confidential Assistant Grade-II at the District Court, Kozhikode, on

14.12.2009 and was promoted to Confidential Assistant Grade-I in the year

2012, and further promoted to Senior Grade Confidential Assistant in the

year 2016. Her family consists of her husband and two children aged 15

and 10 years, respectively. Her husband is working as a Nursing Assistant

at Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, and has night duty

shifts.

2. The petitioner had been submitting applications for inter-

district transfer to the Civil Judicial Department, right from 2016 onwards.

In the year 2022, she filed another application for inter-district transfer to

the Civil Judicial Department, Thiruvananthapuram(Ext.P5), which also did

not find any result. Therefore, in 2023, she filed Ext.P6 application

requesting to transfer her to her home

district/Thiruvananthapuram. Ext.P7 is the latest application filed before

the respondent on 10.01.2024, The limited prayer in the writ petition is a

speedy disposal of Ext.P7 by the respondent within a time frame.

3. Heard counsel for the petitioner as well as the counsel for the

respondent.

Taking into consideration that the request is only for the transfer to

her home District Thiruvananthapuram, there will be a direction to the

respondent to take up Ext.P7 and pass appropriate orders within a period

of two months.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
