                   W.P.(C) No.15634 of 2022
               ============================
Dated this the 20th day of May, 2022

                               JUDGMENT

Petitioner is the registered owner of a stage carriage

bearing Registration No.KL-18 Q 6363. As per Ext.P4

representation, petitioner requested for levy of tax on the vehicle

at the rate applicable for non-transport vehicles as well as

instalment payment for the arrears of tax. The contention raised

in Ext.P4 is that petitioner had not been using his vehicle from

01.04.2020 onwards and his permit expired on 21.01.2021, hence

for the period after expiry of the permit, petitioner need pay tax

at the rate for non-transport vehicles.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as

well as the learned Government Pleader, I am of the view that

this writ petition can be disposed of, by directing an expeditious

consideration of Ext.P4 representation. WP(C) NO. 15634 OF 2022

3. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the

respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P4

representation, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a

period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this

judgment after hearing the petitioner or his representative.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
