                               JUDGMENT

Petitioner is the registered owner of a stage carriage

bearing Registration No.KL-18 S 3434. As per Ext.P4

representation, petitioner requested for imposition of tax on the

vehicle at the rate applicable for non-transport vehicles. The

contention raised in Ext.P4 is based on the allegation that

petitioner had not been using his vehicle from 01.04.2020

onwards since his permit had expired on 16.06.2019.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as

well as the learned Government Pleader, I am of the view that

this writ petition can be disposed of, by directing an expeditious

consideration of Ext.P4 representation.

3. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the

respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P4 WP(C) NO. 15636 OF 2022

representation, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a

period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this

judgment, after granting an opportunity of hearing to the

petitioner.

This writ petition is disposed of.
