                                 JUDGMENT

Amongst the various allegations, averments and

assertions made and urged in this writ petition, all which the

petitioners require is that the first respondent - University of

Calicut, be directed to consider Exts.P7 to P12

representations made by them. They say that they have been

unable to produce their Mark Lists/Certificates before the

University because the College where they earlier studied, in

Andhra Pradhesh, was ravaged by flood and therefore, that

the examinations have been rescheduled. They say that they

have, therefore, preferred Exts.P7 to P12, seeking that they be

given some time to produce their Mark Lists/Certificates.

2. The afore request of the petitioners, as made by their

learned counsel Sri.K.Muhammed Salahudeen, was answered

by Sri.P.C.Sasidharan - learned standing counsel for the

University, saying that though he cannot make any

undertaking before this Court, there is no legal impediment in

the competent Authority of the University hearing the

petitioners and considering Exts.P7 to P12. He, however,

prayed that this Court may not make any affirmative

declarations as to the entitlement of the petitioners to any

relief and leave it to the competent Authority to take a WP(C) NO. 24122 OF 2022

decision on it in terms of law.

In the afore circumstances, I allow this writ petition and

direct respondents 2 and 3 to take up Exts.P7 to P12

representations of the petitioners respectively and dispose of

the same, after affording them or their parents an opportunity

of being heard; for which purpose, they shall remain present

before the said Authority at 11 A.M. on 01.08.2022; thus

culminating in an appropriate order thereon, as expeditiously

as is possible, but not later than one week thereafter.
