                            JUDGMENT

This original petition is submitted by the petitioner who is an

accused in C.C.No.1204 of 2018 pending before the Judicial First

Class Magistrate Court-I, Punalur. The prayer sought for by the

petitioner is for a direction to expedite the trial of the said case.

When the original petition came up for admission on 07.06.2022, a

report was called for from the learned Magistrate as to the status of

the case and the time required for completing the same.

2. In response to the same, a report was submitted on

13.06.2022, wherein it is mentioned that, 14 witnesses have to be

examined in this case and the trial of the said case can be completed

on or before 31.12.2022. Taking into account all the facts and

circumstances of the case, I find the time mentioned by the learned

Magistrate is reasonable.

In the result, this original petition is disposed of directing the

learned Magistrate to complete the trial in C.C.No.1204 of 2018 on

or before 31.12.2022.
