Dated this the 25th day of November, 2021

                              JUDGMENT

Petitioner was the owner of a Volvo vehicle bearing

Registration No. PY 01/CQ 8688. The motor vehicle tax due for the

said vehicle, which was initially registered in Pondicherry is due to be

paid to the respondents in Kerala. There is a liability due from the

petitioner which is quantified by Ext.P2 at Rs.1,05,400/-. Petitioner

seeks an instalment payment for repaying the amount.

Having regard to the present circumstances on account of

the Covid 19 pandemic, this Court is of the view that a reasonable

instalment can be granted to the petitioner. Accordingly, the

petitioner is directed to pay the entire arrears of motor vehicle tax

due on the vehicle bearing Registration No. PY 01/CQ 8688 in six

equated monthly instalments, the first of which shall be paid on or

before 20.12.2021.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
