                                JUDGMENT

Petitioner herein is an existing stage carriage operator in the

route Ayakurussi-Cherplassery. The permit was valid upto 07.05.2021.

Petitioner submitted an application for variation of condition of permit

which included change of halting place from Palakkad to Ayakurussi.

The application was submitted on 14.01.2021. But, still the application

has not been considered, is the grievance of the petitioner.

2. Learned Senior Government Pleader on instructions

submitted that a report was called for from the Motor Vehicles

Inspector, Alathur, which is still awaited.

3. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the second

respondent to place the matter before the first respondent on receipt of

the report from the Motor Vehicles Inspector, which shall consider the

application as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law and

place it before the next RTA meeting within a period of six weeks from

today. If there is no chance of the above meeting be held due to reasons

beyond the control of the RTA, decision shall be taken by circulation by

adopting Rule 130 of the Motor Vehicles Rules.

Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
