                                   JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to the

respondent Panchayath to consider and pass orders on Ext.P5 preferred by him

seeking deletion of the names of the deceased from the Assessment Register

maintained in the Panchayath with regard to the property in question. The limited

prayer of the petitioner is for a direction to the respondent to consider and pass

orders on Ext.P5 expeditiously, after hearing the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. In the nature of the

order that is proposed to be passed, I deem it not necessary to hear the

respondent.

On a consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the

submissions made across the Bar, I dispose the writ petition with a direction to the

respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P5 application preferred by the

petitioner within an outer time limit of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy

of this judgment, after hearing the petitioner. The petitioner shall produce a copy

of the writ petition together with a copy of this judgment before the respondent for

further action.
