13.06.2016 AND 15.11.2017 RES PECTIVELY AND DIRECT
TO RECTIFY THE CASTE OF THE PETITIONER AS A
"HINDU-HANABAR" IN PLACE OF "HINDU-LINGAVANT" IN
HIS SCHOOL RECORDS AND RECORDS MAINTAINED IN
THE    EDUCATION   DEPARTMENT     IN   RESPECT   OF
PETITIONER IS CONCERNED.

    THIS PETITION COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY
HEARING IN 'B' GROUP THIS DAY , T HE COURT , MADE THE
FOLLOWING:

                          ORDER

In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought

for for the following reliefs:

i. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to consider the representations vide Annexure-B and C dated 13.06.2016 and 15.11.2017 respectively and direct to rectify the caste of the petitioner as a "Hindu-Hanabar" in place of "Hindu-

Lingavant" in his school records and records maintained in the Education

Department in respect of petitioner is concerned and etc.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner

and learned HCGP for the respondents. Perused the

material on record.

3. Though several contentions are urged by

the petitioner in support of his claim, having regard

to the specific assertions on the part of the petitioner

that his representations at Annexures-B and C dated

13.06.2021 and 15.11.2017 have not been considered

by the respondents and no orders have been passed

so far, without expressing any opinion on the

merits/demerits of the rival contentions, I deem it

just and proper to dispose of this writ petition

directing the concerned respondent/authorities to

consider the said representations, if not already

considered, in accordance with law bearing in mind

the judgment and decree dated 12.02.2015 passed in

Regular Appeal No.77/2014 by the Principal Senior

Civil Judge, Ranebennur, within a period of three

months from the date of receipt of a copy of this

order. Ordered accordingly.

Subject to the aforesaid directions and

observations, writ petition stands disposed of.
