06/18.03.2026         Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 13.11.2022 in connection with S.T. Case No.73 of 2023 arising out of Lapung P.S. Case No. 22 of 2022, registered under Sections 302, 201 and 34 of Indian Penal Code, now pending in the court of learned Additional Judicial Commissioner XII, Ranchi.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that out of 8 witnesses, six witnesses have been examined but the last witness was examined as back as on 22.03.2025. He has also submitted that for a period of about 1 year no witness was examined. He submits that next date in the trial is on 10.04.2026.

4. Learned counsel for the opposite party- State, on the other hand, has opposed the prayer and has submitted that the State would ensure prompt production of witnesses. The remaining witnesses are official witnesses.

5. A report has been received from the concerned court giving the tentative time to conclude the trial by end of April, 2026.

6. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties and considering the fact that the bail application of the petitioner has been rejected multiple times by this Court and also considering the serious and specific allegation against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail and hence, this bail application is rejected.

7. However, the State is directed to ensure prompt production of the witnesses and the next date in trial before the learned court, as stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner, is on 10.04.2026.

8. Learned counsel for the State is directed to communicate this order to the Director, Prosecution and also to the Superintendent of Police of the concerned district to ensure compliance.

9. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned court concerned through "FAX/email".
