report in this batch of matters.
2. Some of the private respondents have since retired or died, and they
are not represented. But since the issue relates to seniority, the said fact
has no bearing on the result in the Writ Petitions.
3. The issue raised in these Writ Petitions is covered by the judgment
of the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 299 of 2025 dt. 15.01.2025
titled Dharmendra Kumar Singh and others Vs. The Hon'ble High
Court of Jharkhand and others.
4. Therefore, these Writ Petitions are allowed in terms of the said
order of the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 299 of 2025. All other
issues which are not related to the issue of seniority are left open.
5. All other Interlocutory Applications stand dismissed.
6. The High Court of Jharkhand is directed to prepare the merit-list of
the promoted candidates to the post of Additional District Judge and redo
the seniority in compliance with the applicable rules.
