This interlocutory application has been filed by the appellant, praying therein to suspend the sentence and release him on bail during the pendency of this appeal.

2. The appellant has been convicted for the offence under Sections 302 and 201 of IPC in connection with Sessions Trial Case No.82 of 2020. He has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life with fine of Rs.25,000/- for the offence under 302 of IPC along with other sentences.

3. Heard, learned counsel for the appellant and learned A.P.P. for the State and have gone through the impugned judgment, the evidence and the Trial Court Records.

4. Opportunity was given to the State to oppose the bail, which the State availed and opposed.

5. Though there is no eye-witness to the occurrence yet on the basis of the confessional statement of this appellant the murder weapon which is an iron rod and the blood stained apparel of this appellant was recovered from the septic tank of this appellant.

6. Considering the aforesaid evidence, we are not inclined to grant bail to this appellant. Accordingly, I.A. No. 9368 of 2024 is dismissed.
