We have considered the report dated 10th July 2023 of the Juvenile Justice Board at Dumka when this Death Reference was listed along with Criminal Appeal (DB) No.493 of 2020 on 21st July 2023. The report dated 10th July 2023 was challenged by Mr. Pankaj Kumar, the learned Public Prosecutor and accordingly two weeks' time was granted on 21st July 2023 for filing a response to the aforesaid report.

2. In view of serious disputes and contentious issues raised by the learned Public Prosecutor, on 22nd August 2023 we decided to hear both parties on merits.

3. The learned counsels for the parties have concluded their arguments.
