This criminal appeal was filed on 5 th September 2020 and registered on 16th September 2020. The matter was listed on 1st October 2020 and 7th January 2021, when it was adjourned at the request of the learned counsel for NIA for filing counter-affidavit.

2. On 23rd February 2021, when the matter was listed before the Court it was adjourned at the instance of the learned counsel for the appellant for filing reply to the counter-affidavit.

3. On 14th July 2021, one of the learned Judges constituting the Bench recused himself and therefore the case record was placed before Hon'ble the Chief Justice for fresh assignment.

4. By an order dated 28th October 2021 passed on the administrative side by Hon'ble the Chief Justice, High Court of Jharkhand, Criminal Appeal (DB) No. 535 of 2020 was assigned to DB-III.

5. A mentioning-slip dated 19th January 2022 was tendered by Mr. Shubham Gupta, the learned counsel for the appellant pursuant thereof this matter has been listed today on Board.

6. At the outset, Mrs. Swati Shalini, the learned vice-counsel appearing for Mr. A.K. Das, the learned counsel for NIA seeks adjournment for filing a fresh vakalatnama on behalf of NIA, due to change in the panel of advocates for NIA in the High Court.

7. Mr. Shubham Gupta, the learned counsel for the appellant is also seeking adjournment for filing compilation of necessary documents and the judgments on which he would be placing reliance.
