I.A No.2646 of 2020
06/ 22.02.2021. Heard learned counsel for the appellant and the learned counsel for the State on the Interlocutory Application filed by the appellant for granting bail during the pendency of this appeal.
The appellant has been convicted and sentenced for the offences under Sections 302 & 201 of the Indian Penal Code.
Though the impugned Judgment shows that there is no eyewitness to the occurrence of murder, but it appears that the beheaded dead body of the deceased girl was recovered, and the evidence of the I.O shows that on the basis of the confessional statement of this appellant, the bloodstained weapon of the offence and other bloodstained articles were recovered.
In the facts of this case, we are not inclined to release the appellant, Jitendra Oraon, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected.
The aforesaid Interlocutory Application stands dismissed.
