01. Issue notice to the respondents/non-applicants.

02. Mr. Suneel Malhotra, learned Government Advocate

accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/non-

applicants.

03. This is an application seeking restoration of the main writ

petition which has been dismissed for non-prosecution

on 19.12.2025.

04. In the application, it has been submitted that the

petitioner could not appear before the Court on the date

the case was listed for hearing due to the demise of his

2025:JKLHC-JMU:4294 CM No. 191/2026 in

previous counsel, Mr. P. S. Dutta, on 16.05.2025, a fact

which was not within the knowledge of the petitioner.

05. For the reasons stated in the application, the same is

allowed and the writ petition is restored to its original

number. The main writ petition be listed for further

proceedings on 25.02.2026.

06. The present application is accordingly, disposed of.
