Prayer in the application moved by respondent

No.1, Veena, is for the release of the awarded amount

alongwith up to date interest. The main appeal preferred by

the non-applicant/appellant Insurance Company (FAO

No.171 of 2014) was dismissed vide judgment dated

24.06.2022. Learned counsel for the non-applicant/

appellant Insurance Company submits that the aforesaid

judgment has not been assailed any further by the

appellant and that the judgment has attained finality. Reply

to the application has also not been filed by the non-

applicant/appellant Insurance Company. More than three

months have gone by from the date of pronouncement of

the judgment.

In view of the above facts and submissions, there

is no impediment in releasing the compensation amount in

favour of the applicant. Accordingly, this application is

allowed. The awarded amount alongwith up to date interest

be released in favour of the applicant/respondent in terms

of the aforesaid judgment, by remitting the same in her

bank account, details whereof have been given in the

.

application. The application to stand disposed of in the

above terms.
