Heard Shri N.K. Murry, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The learned counsel at the outset has informed this Court that pursuant to earlier directions, an additional affidavit has been filed which is tagged with the records.

In this petition, the petitioner has prayed for compensation connected with seizure of areca nuts of 11,000 kgs worth Rs.22,00,000/- in connection with Dilai P.S. GDE No. 135/2023.

The petitioner contends that such seizure was illegal and even the procedure for taking proper care of the goods was not adopted.

Let notice be issued, returnable on 27.03.2026.

Shri N. Das, learned State Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent nos. 1 to 5.

Extra copies of the writ petition be served upon the learned counsel for the respondents within 2 (two) working days from today.
