1. The present contempt petition is filed alleging willful and deliberate Page No.# 2/2

violation of the order dated 29.01.2025 passed in WP(C) No. 3220/2024.

2. By the aforesaid order, a declaration was made that the petitioner is entitled to be paid to the minimum Scale of Pay in terms of the judgment and order dated 08.06.2017 passed in WA No. 45/2014.

3. Mr. D.Nath, learned Senior Government Advocate, Assam and Mr. A. Chaliha, learned counsel representing the Finance Department submit that the name of the petitioner has already been incorporated in the list of eligible person for grant of such minimum Scale of Pay. However, it will require some time to give necessary approval to such list by the competent authority and thereafter, to make the actual payment.

4. Accordingly, both the counsels have prayed for adjournment.

5. Prayer stands allowed.

6. List this matter on 06.06.2026.
