Heard Ms. R. D. Mozumdar, learned counsel appearing for the appellant. Also heard Mr. D. Mondal, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 1.

This appeal is presented under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, against the judgment/award dated 07.07.2023 passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Nagaon, in M.A.C. Case No. 241/2018.

The requisite statutory deposit of Rs. 25,000/- appears to have been deposited before the Registry of this Court. The instant appeal being a statutory appeal, the appeal stands admitted.

Issue notice, returnable in 2 (two) weeks.

Mr. D. Mondal, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent No. 1. Extra copies waived of.

Steps in respect of respondent No. 2 be taken through registered post with A/D, within a period of 3 (three) days from today.

Call for the records from the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Nagaon.
