None appears for the petitioner, when the matter is called.

This contempt petition has been filed for non-compliance with the Page No.# 2/2

Judgment and Order dated 16.08.2016 passed in WP(C) No. 3307 of 2005.

The counsel for the petitioner has not bothered to appear and the respondents have also not filed any show-cause reply.

At this stage, Mr. S.M.T. Chistie, learned counsel, has produced a Communication dated 04.11.2024 written by the Joint Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of School Education to the Accountant General (A & E), Assam conveying sanction of the Governor of Assam for payment of Rs.3,75,644/- for release of arrear salary of the petitioner in connection with the instant contempt case. Therefore, it appears that the amount of arrear salary receivable by the petitioner has already been sanctioned, and perhaps that could be the reason why the petitioner is not represented today.

Be that as it may, let the matter be listed again on 25.11.2025.

Mr. S.M.T. Chistie, shall get instructions as to whether the amount has been disbursed to the petitioner by the next date.

The Communication dated 04.11.2024 produced by Mr. S.M.T. Chistie, shall be kept on record and marked as "X" for identification.
