Heard Mr. M. Hussain, learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. Aggrieved by and dissatisfied with a Judgment dated 23.04.2024, passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Dhubri ['the Family Court', for short] in F.C. Crl. Case

no. 105/2023, the petitioner has approached this Court by the instant criminal revision petition under Section 442 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita [BNSS], 2023. By the Judgment dated 23.04.2024, the Family Court, on an application preferred by the sole respondent under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure [CrPC], 1973, has directed the petitioner to pay maintenance @ Rs. 3,000/- per month to the respondent-wife and @ Rs. 1,500/- per month to the minor daughter from the date of filing of the petition.

3. The case records of F.C. Crl. Case no. 105/2023 be called for.

4. Issue notice, returnable in 4 [four] weeks.

5. The petitioner shall take steps for service of notice upon the sole respondent by registered post with A/D as well as by usual process within 3 [three] working days from today.

6. The maintainability of the criminal revision petition under Section 442, BNSS vis-à-vis Section 19[4] of the Family Courts Act, 1984 is left open for consideration at an appropriate stage.
