Heard Shri A. Atreya, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Shri N.N.B. Choudhury, learned counsel for the applicant-appellant, who has filed this application under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, 1963 for condonation of delay of 4 days in preferring the appeal against the judgment and order dated 22.07.2024 passed by learned Addl. Sessions Judge cum Special Judge (POCSO), Morigaon, in POCSO Case No. 7/2021 (State of Assam -vs- Shri Sabin Das) convicting the accused / appellant under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and sentencing him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for twenty years and pay fine of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand only) and in default to suffer rigorous imprisonment for further 3 (three) months.

Let notice be issued, returnable by 6 (six) weeks.

Ms. S. Jahan, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam accepts notice on behalf of the respondent no. 1.
