                                            ORDER

03.02.2023 Heard Shri K.J. Saikia, learned counsel for the petitioner, who is aggrieved by a decision of the Department to close down Fair Price Shops having 50 or less than 50 nos. of consumers. The petitioner claims to have a Fair Price Shop with License No. USI-93/98/PDS/1 at Udalguri.

However, by the impugned letter dated 07.08.2021, the aforesaid decision was conveyed. Shri Saikia, the learned counsel has fairly submitted that the issue was raised in a number of writ petitions before this Court which however vide judgment and order dated 22.12.2022 passed in, amongst others WP(C)/5470/2021 has dismissed the writ petitions without interfering with the policy decision.

Ms. S. Sharma, learned State Counsel is present.

In terms of the aforesaid judgment and order dated 22.12.2022, this Court is left with no other alternative but to dismiss the writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed.
