18.12.2023 Heard Mr. A M Bora, learned senior counsel for the applicants, assisted by Mr. M H Laskar, Advocate as well as Ms. S. Jahan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam appearing for the respondent no. 1 and Mr. N. Mazarbhuiyan, learned counsel for the opposite party no. 2.

This is an application under Section 389 read with Section 401 of the CrPC praying for allowing the petitioners, namely, (1) Anwar Hussain Mazumder @ Tony; (2) Komar Hussain Mazumder @ Komi; and (3) Romi Hussain Mazumder, to remain on previous bail, who have been convicted by the Judgment and Order dated 28.11.2023 passed in Criminal Appeal No. 22/2016 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge (FTC), Cachar, Silchar whereby the impugned Judgment and Order dated 23.08.2016 passed in Sessions Case No. 111/2013 by the learned Assistant Sessions Judge No. 2, Cachar, Silchar was upheld.

Having heard the learned counsel for both the sides, the petitioners aforesaid are allowed to remain on previous bail till disposal of the connected criminal revision petition.

With the above, the IA(Crl) stands disposed of.
