1. Petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to provide a new electricity connection on the second floor of Plot No. 284, Pocket-B, Sector-4, Bawana, DSIDC, Delhi.

2. Issue notice. Notice is accepted by learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the electricity connection was refused on the ground that there was certain fibre sheets placed on the roof of the second floor which was bringing the same within close proximity of a high tension cable of the respondent running horizontally above the property.

4. He submits that the property was once again inspected yesterday and it transpired that certain modifications have been carried out and the fibre sheets have been removed by the petitioner. He further submits that on petitioner filing an affidavit of undertaking with the respondent that they shall not install the fibre sheets again and shall maintain the safe distance as indicated by the officers of the respondent, there would be no objection to the grant of a new electricity connection.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner shall duly file an undertaking with the respondent within two days.

6. In view of the above, this petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to furnish an undertaking and comply with the requirements of the respondent to maintain safe distance between the property /projection and the high tension cable/wire of the respondent and further on petitioner complying with the other codal and financial formalities, electricity connection be granted in accordance with law.

7. The petition is allowed and disposed of in the above terms.
