                                JUDGMENT

SANJEEV SACHDEVA, J. (ORAL)

1. The hearing was conducted through video conferencing.

2. Petitioner seeks extension of interim bail granted to the petitioner by order dated 01.06.2020. Extension is sought for a period of 60 days by the petitioner to take care of his mother who is stated to be unwell. It is contended that petitioner also has a brother but his brother had suffered a fracture on his leg and is unable to take care of his mother.

3. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that on 01.06.2020, while granting interim bail, the factum of illness of the mother was noticed by this Court, also the fact that the brother of the petitioner was bed ridden and

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the brother of the petitioner has recovered but because he had suffered a fracture on his leg he is not in a position to provide support to their mother and take care of her.

5. Ms. Manjeet Arya, learned APP submits that the factum of the illness of the mother as well as the fact that Petitioner's brother had suffered a fracture has already been verified.

6. Keeping in view the medical condition of the mother and brother of the Petitioner and the fact that there is no allegation that Petitioner had misused the liberty granted by order dated 01.06.2020, the interim bail granted to the petitioner on 01.06.2020 is extended by a further period of four weeks on the same sureties and conditions as stipulated in order dated 01.06.2020.

7. Petitioner shall surrender to the concerned Superintendent jail on the expiry of the extended period of four weeks.

8. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

9. Copy of the Order be uploaded on the High Court website and be also forwarded to learned counsels for the Parties and the concerned Superintendent Jail through email.
