The Court:- The Learned Advocate representing the plaintiff has

filed the instant application being GA/4/2026, inter-alia, stating during

the pendency of the instant suit the defendant no. 1 company,

incorporated under the appropriate laws of the Peoples of Republic of

Bangladesh, carrying on business at No. 4, Azizullah Road, Babubazar,

Dhaka-1100, Bangladesh, called "Babubazar Branch" had undergone a

change in the registered name of the Bank from "National Bank Limited"

to "National Bank PLC", as per the 2020 amendment to the Companies

Act, 1994. The Director of Bangladesh Bank, Banking Regulations and

Policies Division, Head Office, Dhaka invoking the powers vested in

Bangladesh Bank under Section 31 of the Banking Companies Act,

1991, granted the license to operate banking business in Bangladesh to

National Bank Limited being the erstwhile Bank, thereafter with a

modification in its name to National Bank PLC. Such documents have

been annexed to the supplementary affidavit filed by the Learned

Advocate representing the plaintiff/petitioner at page nos. 7, 9, 10 and

12.

The department is directed to carry out the necessary amendments

in the plaint in view of the aforesaid change in the registered name of the

concerned Bank. A copy of the amended plaint be served upon the

Learned Advocate representing the defendant.

GA/4/2026 is accordingly disposed of.

Next date be fixed on 17th March, 2026.
