This is an appeal preferred against the judgment
and order of conviction dated 09.06.2023/12.06.2023
passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Purulia, in
Sessions Case No. 188 of 2022, whereby learned Judge
found the appellant/accused guilty of committing an
offence under Section 326/341/448 of the Indian Penal
Code and sentenced him to suffer rigorous imprisonment
for a term of five (5) years and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/-,
in default, further rigorous imprisonment for six months
for the offence under Section 326 of the Indian Penal Code
and also sentenced to him to suffer simple imprisonment
of one month and to pay fine of Rs.500/-, in default, to
suffer simple imprisonment for another 15 days for
offence under Section 341 of the Indian Penal Code and
also sentenced him to suffer simple imprisonment of one
year and pay fine of Rs.1000/-, in default, to suffer simple
imprisonment for one month for the offence under Section
448 of the Indian Penal Code.
Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the
appellant and perused the judgment.
The appeal is admitted.
Issue usual notices.
Trial Court Record be called for.
After arrival of the Lower Court Record, if it is
found, otherwise in order, the formal paper book shall be
prepared within six weeks thereafter.
Liberty is given to file application for suspension of
sentence.
Realization of fine amount be stayed in the
meantime.
