The appeal has been filed assailing the judgment
and order of conviction passed by the learned Additional
District Judge, 4th Court, Cum Special Judge, Alipore,
South 24 Parganas under N.D.P.S. Act, on 13.07.2023
whereby learned Judge convicted both the appellants to
suffer rigorous imprisonment for six years each and also
to pay of Rs. 1,00,000/- each, in default, to suffer further
imprisonment for a period of 1 year each for the offence
punishable under Section 21 (B) of the N.D.P.S Act.
Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the
appellants and after perusal of the judgment, the appeal
is admitted. Issue usual notices.
Trial Court Record be called for.
After arrival of the Lower Court Record, if it is
found, otherwise in order, the formal paper book shall be
prepared within six weeks thereafter.
Liberty is given to file bail application.
Realization of fine amount be stayed in the
meantime.
