The Court : By an order dated 17 December, 2018, the judgment debtor was

directed to deposit a sum of Rs. 48 lakhs with the Registrar, Original Side within a

period of three weeks from date.

It is submitted on behalf of both the parties that pursuant to the order dated

17 December, 2018, the judgment debtor has deposited the said amount with the

Registrar, Original Side. However, there has been no direction for investing the

said amount. The matter has appeared at the instance of the Department.

It is brought to the attention of this Court that pursuant to the order dated

17 December, 2018 though the decretal dues i.e. Rs.48 lakhs have been deposited

with the Registrar, Original Side the same remains uninvested.

By consent of the parties, the Registrar, Original Side is directed to invest

the aforesaid amount in an interest bearing fixed deposit with any nationalized

bank.
