Citation : 2022 Latest Caselaw 7299 Cal
Judgement Date : 31 October, 2022
Form J(2) IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA
Criminal Appellate Jurisdiction
Appellate Side
Present :
The Hon'ble Justice Bibek Chaudhuri
C.R.R. 674 of 2022
Sanjoy Datta
Vs.
The State of West Bengal & Anr.
Judgment On : 31.10.2022.
Bibek Chaudhuri, J.
None appears on behalf of the petitioner.
It is found from the order dated 14 th March, 2022 that a Co-
ordinate Bench admitted the instant revision and directed the
petitioner to serve notice upon the opposite parties and file affidavit-
of-service. Till date the petitioner has not complied the said order.
It appears from the materials on record that the petitioner is a
charge-sheeted accused. After filing of the charge-sheet, the case
against the petitioner was committed to the Court of Sessions and
subsequently it was transferred to the Court of the learned Additional
Sessions Judge at Khatra. The case was registered in the Court of the
learned Trial Judge as S.C.No.08(08) of 2015. The learned Trial
Judge has fixed date for consideration of charge. The present
revisional application was filed only to stall the proceeding in the Trial
Court.
On careful perusal of the materials on record, I do not find any
merit in the instant revision and accordingly, the instant revision is
dismissed on merit.
Therefore, CRR 674 of 2022 is, thus, disposed of.
