The judgment and order dated August 22, 2022 is mentioned at the behest of the de facto complainant.

Learned advocate appearing for the de facto complainant submits that since the appeal was dismissed and since the appellants were enlarged on bail during the pendency of the appeal, their bail bonds should be cancelled and they should be directed to surrender before the appropriate Court.

State and appellants are represented. None of the parties raise any objection to the relief sought for on behalf of the de facto complainant.

By the judgment and order dated August 22, 2022, the appeal was dismissed.

The appellants, during the pendency of the appeal were on bail.

In view of the dismissal of the appeal and in view of the judgment and order dated August 22, 2022 confirming the judgment of conviction and the order of sentence passed by the learned Trial Judge, it would be appropriate to direct the jurisdictional Court to cancel the bail bonds existing in favour of the appellants. The appellants will surrender before the jurisdictional Court within 7 days from the date. In default, of the appellants complying with the directions contained herein, the jurisdictional Court is at liberty to take appropriate steps.

The immediate previous paragraph of this order be incorporated in the judgment and order dated August 22, 2022 as paragraph 71 thereof. The existing paragraphs 71 and 72 be renumbered as 72 and 73.

The department will incorporate such corrections in the order.
