The Court: An award is sought to be executed by this execution petition.
Learned senior advocate appearing for the award-holder submits that there is no
impediment on the Court executing the award. He points out that the judgment-debtor
failed to obtain any stay of the award.
Learned advocate appearing for the judgment-debtor submits that further time of
two weeks is required for the affidavit to be affirmed and filed. He submits that the
judgment-debtor is working with skeleton staff given the pandemic.
Considering the pandemic situation, it would be appropriate to extend the time to
file affidavit-in-opposition for a period of two weeks from date as prayed for; reply
thereto, if any, within a week thereafter.
List the execution petition under the heading "Chamber Application for Final
Disposal" three weeks hence.
