Mr. Sirsanya Bandopadhyay, learned
counsel appearing for the State submits on the
basis of further instructions received that,
statements under Section 161 of the Cr. P.C. of
the family members have been recorded. Location
traced from the petitioner's mobile phone, as
recorded by the mobile tower, is being ascertained
and the same shall take some time.
This Court directs the Officer-in-Charge,
Nandigram Police Station to expedite the
investigation and complete the same within a
period of one month from date. Every effort must
be made to trace out the petitioner's wife.
The final report filed by the Nandigram
Police Station shall be made available to the
petitioner. Steps may be taken, if so advised under
Section 173 of the Cr. P.C.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ
petition is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this
judgment, if applied for, be given to the parties
upon compliance of all formalities.
