The above appeal has been preferred against the judgment
and order passed by the learned Additional District & Sessions
Judge, Fast Track Court No. 2, Barrackpore, North 24-Parganas in
Sessions Trial No. 15(3)2014.
Mr. Chakraborty, learned advocate appearing for the
appellant submits that the appellant has already served out the
sentence and has also deposited the fine amount. Thereafter,
the appellant has also been released yesterday, i.e. on 17 th
August, 2021. Let the receipt towards payment of fine, as
produced, be kept on record.
Mr. Sur, learned A.P.P. appears on behalf of the State.
Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective
parties and considered the materials on record including the
report dated 8th August, 2021 filed by the Superintendent,
Dumdum Central Correctional Home earlier, when the matter
was last taken up for hearing on 9th August, 2021.
As the appellant has served out the sentence, deposited the
fine amount and has also been released yesterday, i.e. on 17 th
August, 2021, no further order is required to be passed in the
present appeal.
The appeal and the connected application, being CRAN 3 of
2021 are, accordingly, disposed of.
All parties shall act on the server copies of this order duly
downloaded from the official website of this Court.
