I have heard counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners and also Mr. K. K. Maiti, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no.3.

The issue in the present writ petition is with regard to blocking of the Input Tax Credit for the sum of Rs.2,83,43,879/- of the petitioners and allegedly causing the petitioner to pay an amount of Rs.50 lakhs on the day of search.

In light of the above, respondents are directed to file a report in the form of an affidavit explaining the actions of the respondent authorities and to inform the Court as to whether the Input Tax Credit ledger is still blocked.

Let this report be filed by April 23, 2021 with an advance copy upon the petitioners.

Let this matter appear on April 28, 2021 under the heading 'Specially Fixed Matter'.

Mr. Kartik Kurmy, counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, filed a compilation of judgments that may be taken on record. Copy of the same may be provided to Mr. Maiti appearing on behalf of the respondent no.3.
